How should I store live lobsters?
Keep them refrigerated at 35–40°F (1–4°C) in a breathable container, covered with a damp cloth or newspaper. Do not store in fresh water.
How do I cook a whole lobster?
Boil 8–10 minutes per pound in salted water, or steam 10 minutes per pound over 2 inches of boiling water. The shell should turn bright red and the meat opaque.
Can I eat lobster cold?
Cooked lobster can be served cold, but it is best enjoyed warm immediately after cooking.
How long can cooked lobster meat be stored?
Store cooked lobster in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days or freeze for 2–3 months.
